Dates change only when content substantively changes — never for show

What "Last Updated" Means
When a page on FortuneSweep shows a "Last updated" date, it means the content changed substantively on or around that date: facts, bonus terms, scores, state availability, or the substance of our assessment.
We do not refresh dates for cosmetic changes, design tweaks, or technical rebuilds. A newer date on a page means something on it actually changed.
What Triggers an Update
- •An operator changes its sweepstakes rules or terms of service
- •A bonus offer changes, expires, or is replaced
- •State availability changes — a legal development or an operator entering or leaving a state
- •Our monitoring detects drift between what a page says and what the operator currently publishes
- •A reader reports an error we verify — see the Corrections Policy
Scheduled Re-Verification
Beyond event-driven updates, we re-verify on a fixed schedule:
- •Bonus offers and coin amounts — re-verified approximately weekly
- •Redemption rules, game counts, and operator documents — reviewed approximately monthly
- •State availability — monitored daily against legal developments
- •Full review refresh — whenever an operator's published documents change materially
When a Fact Can No Longer Be Verified
Operators remove help articles, rewrite terms, and retire offers. When a fact we published can no longer be verified against a current primary source, we re-check it; if it still cannot be confirmed, we mark it as no longer verifiable or remove it. We do not leave unverifiable claims standing because they were true once.
